However, China's annual consumption is only 100,000 tons. With the continuous improvement of the function of plastics, the amount of automotive plastics will increase. It is estimated that the demand for automotive plastics in China will reach 455000 tons in 2005. By 2010, it will reach 70-940000 tons. The plastic machinery needed in the automotive industry is mainly large injection molding machines (clamping force ≥ 4000T) and large multi-layer hollow molding machines. At present, these equipment mainly rely on imports.
Packaging Industry

Medical and health fields
Medical plastic products play an increasingly important role in the diagnosis, treatment and health care of human diseases. The development of medical plastic products in China started late, and it was only in the 1970 s that plastic infusion bags were developed, and then plastic syringes and plastic artificial joints were developed one after another. At present, the output value of medical plastic products has reached about 15% of the total output value of medical devices in the country. The diameter of the medical catheter is very small, generally below 0.5mm, which is difficult to process and requires a precision extruder. At present, it mainly depends on imports. The medical and health field is a very important market for plastic machinery.

At present, the important means of urban garbage disposal in China is mainly landfill.
